Sandringham Rifle Club’s culture is that of a small group of active members, the majority of which participate each week. It is a very inclusive environment, with newer members actively receiving help and advice from those with more experience- something sometimes not available in bigger clubs.
Prospective members are invited to visit and meet the club, and participate in up to three sessions (there is a charge for range fees, 22LR target ammunition and hearing plugs if you don’t have them) after which time if you wish to join and the club wishes to have you as a member you will be invited to join. You will be required to sign a Visitors Form - see the Visitors Form PDF download section on this website. All equipment required is provided on the day, just bring yourself!
Membership of a target rifle club is a ‘genuine reason’ for a firearms license- for more information please refer to the Victoria Police website or pop into Sandringham Police Station.
Prospective new members / visitors are able to attend the club on the first and third Tuesdays of each month only. This allows existing club members to focus on training on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month.
Club nights are Tuesdays from 8pm. Prospective members must make contact with the club first to schedule a visit, please do not turn up unannounced on the night as we may be too busy to attend to you.
